About Modernity Scotland

Modern Studies & Politics

My name is John McTaggart. I've been running Modernity Scotland for twenty years now. My ambition now, as then, is to make the most accessible and engaging content for Modern Studies and Higher Politics. I've enjoyed a varied career in teaching, writing and event management in both the public and private sectors. I bring this knowledge and experience to the site. I hope you like Higher Modern Studies 2025. It is very focused on the SQA Higher Modern Studies exam, which this year will be on Friday 23 May. Everything has been re-written to enable students to get the best grade possible. There's a sample of a Democracy in Scotland and the UK topic below. If you like it, I hope you can subscribe. All the Democracy, Crime and the Law and The USA topics are live. Social Inequality will be soon. Thanks, John. Oh, btw, the presentations on the website are in MP4 and PDF format. If any subscriber would like these as an old fashioned PPT, just let me know and I'll fire them over to you.
